About Jet Li

From Martial Arts Prodigy to Global Star

Jet Li was born in Beijing in 1963. He began martial arts training at age 8 and won the national championship at 11. His talent caught the eye of filmmakers, and his 1982 debut in Shaolin Temple became a cultural phenomenon across China.

The Turning Point — Tsunami and One Foundation

In 2004, while vacationing with his family in the Maldives, Jet Li was caught in the Indian Ocean tsunami. Facing the boundary between life and death led him to deeply reconsider the meaning of life. This experience led directly to founding One Foundation in 2007.

The core of One Foundation is simple: If one person donates one dollar every month, together it becomes a powerful force. Not special people doing special things, but ordinary people doing what they can. That is the spirit of “Charity by All, Doing What I Can.”

So Be It — 就這樣吧

In 2023, he launched the YouTube channel “So Be It” (就這樣吧). This channel, where he speaks candidly about martial arts, meditation, and life philosophy, shows the world a reflective, serene side of the former action star.

About This Site

Why This Site Exists

We were deeply moved by Jet Li's YouTube channel "So Be It" (就這樣吧). Here is a man known as a martial arts legend, yet he speaks quietly not of fame or fortune, but of meditation, introspection, and selfless giving. His words taught us what true strength really means.

Yet his philosophy and the One Foundation's mission have not reached far beyond the Chinese-speaking world. This fan site was created to bring Jet Li's words and the One Foundation's vision — 1 person + $1 + every month = 1 big family — to as many people as possible.

One World, One Earth. We hope these words create a small ripple in your heart.
